A shameful night for British politics
Britain's proud heritage of a democracy that affords all a voice has been hijacked by the BNP who, if they ever were a significant force would not afford that right democratic right for Black people. There long term goal as always been to voluntary or forcebly rid the UK of non-white people
Simon Woolley OBV's National Co-ordinator stated:
With their daily deluge of Asylum seeking bashing and the demonisation Black youths with blatant lies and half truths, tabloid newspapers such as The Daily Mail, The Daily Express, and The Sun have legitimised the BNP. To their shame many mainstream politicians instead of facing down the tabloid bigotry they have pandered to it. This is precisely the shameful situation that gave rise to the racist Jean Le Pen in French national politics.
Karen Chouhan from the 1990 Trust stated:
"The biggest danger now is complacency. The fascists are now going to attempt to use their gains as a springboard and to influence the mainstream political culture. It is critical that there is broad-based unity to reject this. Lets not forget that The fascists have ditched their jackboots for bespoke suits, but don't be fooled they're still the same thugs that terrorise neighbourhoods and destroy community relations. "
