Anders Breivik, the BNP and White Supremacist

Anders Behring Breivik has demonstrated what lengths White supremacist will to go to incite a global race hate war. It is Islam and its followers who he most hates, but instead of turning his violence on  those who he despises -dreadful and wicked as that would be- his plan was to incite the indiginous society to do it for him.

In a bid to achieve his wicked aims he turned his guns on the political establishment and worse still their innocent children. He hoped that this  act of barbaric terror  will encourage sympathy by highlighting his sense of ‘hopelessness’, and worse still the spark others to begin a war that would eventually set Christians against Muslims, Black people against Whites in global war.

Despite his act of depravity, there are many even on mainstream websites and radio such as the Telegraph and LBC  who are either sympathising with him or discussing the issues he raises in the negative such as multiculturalism.

One sympathiser stated, ‘I watched some video of the manifesto and the guy was not crazy, but he was driven to do immoral and extreme things out of a profound sense of helplessness’. Another simply stated ‘Britain belongs to the Muslims’.

The idea of sparking a global race war has been long held desire by Far Right and white supremist groups around the world.

The most ardent exponent of this was the white supremacist William Piece. In his ‘bible for the Far Right’, the ‘Tuner Diaries’, a story unfolds in which the USA witnesses a violent revolution and ultimately a race war that would eventually exterminate all non-whites and Jews.

So influential was the book that both the Oklahoma Bomber, Tim McVeigh-who killed 168 Americans and closer to home the nail Bomber David Copeland-who killed 3 Londoners were both devotees of Pierce and his ideas for a race war. Copeland, who first joined the BNP said in his police statement: “If you’ve read the Turner Diaries, you know there’ll be an uprising, racial violence on the streets. My aim was political – to cause a racial war in this country.

The BNP leader Nick Griffin had close association with both men. William Pierce and Griffin became good friends supporting one another. In a magazine-The Rune- that was to become Griffin's vitriolic mouth piece, he said of Piece that he was, ‘One of the most thoughtful, dedicated, experienced and bravest men of our time.’

In later years Griffin would engage in a act of political convenience and  abandon his and Pierce’s mutual hatred of the Jewish people, arguing to get elected the Far Right must be on the side of  what the masses want and , ‘take advantage for our own political ends of the growing wave of public hostility towards Islam being whipped up by the mass media’.

It seems Anders Breivik was cut from the same cloth as Griffin, although unlike Griffin he was prepared to do the evil work.

In all of this it is easy to forget the innocent; the children who were murdered, and the families who are left grieving to understand the impossible.

But we mustn’t forget we are all caught up in this too. I remember thinking after the initial bombing of Norwegian Government buildings; this is going to be bad for Muslim’s if Islamist's  did this. And yet even though we know they were not to blame, already the finger is being pointed at them, and multicultural societies. Breivik's sick narrative is, 'I shot my own to aleart you of the threat of Islam'.

If we are to honour the dead we must not concede one inch to the murderous actions of a wicked man, or the race hate logic of Far Right parties such as the BNP. Those who  died at the hands of Brevik deserve better, as do we all.
