Applications open for Campaign Bootcamp!
Campaign Bootcamp is now accepting applications for their upcoming residential campaign trainings!
Campaign Bootcamp is a week-long camp designed to give individuals the tools, confidence, and support to run effective campaigns and contribute to movements that combat injustice. After the week-long camp, participants are given a year of mentoring, support, and opportunities to encourage them to participate in or start their own campaigns.
Over the course of the week, 35 participants will be taken through the different stages of creating and running an effective campaign, with chances to engage with each other, learn from other’s experiences, and develop practical tools for maximizing the effectiveness of their campaign and finding their own place in the movement.
The camp was first held in 2013 by a group of campaigners who sought to share the knowledge they had gained in the NGO sector, and is now gearing up for its 12th and 13th sessions. Bootcamp 12 will take place May 20-25, 2018 (applications due March 23) and Bootcamp 13 will take place July 15-20, 2018 (applications due April 10). Both will take place at Gilwell Park in Epping Forest.
Scholarships are available, and about 80% of participants attend on a scholarship, which covers the full cost of training. Campaign Bootcamp believes in the leadership of those most impacted by injustice, and has scholarships for BME campaigners, LGBTQ+ campaigners, women campaigning for fairness and justice in the UK, and many more.
