British Muslims Refused Entry to the U.S.
Multiple Muslim British citizens have been denied entry to the United States according to The Guardian, reporting that many people have had their approved visas taken away before boarding flights at the airport with no explanation.
In one instance of family of 11 on their way to Disneyland in California had their visas taken by U.S. embassy officials while in line to board after already going through security.
British imam Amjal Masroor had the same thing happen to him. With the ongoing presidential elections in the U.S. and the rise of Donald Trump’s form of racism and religious bigotry British Muslims have real fear for their rights to travel to the U.S. And while legitimate visas are being seized without justification many will leap to the conclusion that Islamophobia has taken a stronghold in America through government actions.
