Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities call on public to submit evidence for review
There is still time to submit evidence for the commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities review into ethnic disparities and inequality in the UK. The call for the public to provide evidence as part of their efforts was launched on 26 October and is now approaching its end.
The review will focus on the areas of education, employment and enterprise, health and crime and policing.
The Commission states that there is the particular interest in hearing from local communities, public, private and third sector organisations, researchers and academics as well as others who ‘wish to share their views’.
The commission claims to be inviting submissions of evidence to ‘understand why such disparities exist, and what works and what does not’
The public have been given the option to respond to any of the ten questions linked here on the gov.uk site. Responses are to be directed to
Email: cred.evidence@cabinetoffice.gov.uk
And should include:
- your name
- your organisation (if you are responding on their behalf) and your role there
- details of the questions you are answering (with the question number above each answer)
Further details are available on the gov.uk webpage, here and the deadline for responses is Monday 30 November 2020 at 11:45pm.

A call to action...
For 24 years OBV have fought to ensure black and minority ethnic participation and representation in civic society. Efforts in continuing to do so though, relies on your help. That way we can continue this fight for greater race equality. What would give us a tremendous boost is if today, you made that small donation yourselves, but even more importantly if you encouraged others to do likewise.
