Make your voice heard: Bush Hill By-Election
Following the wipe out that the BNP faced at both the 2010 and 2011 elections it comes as a surprise that they are fielding a candidate in the upcoming Bush Hill Park by-election in North London.
With over 50% of the people in Enfield from a BME background, it is vital that the people of Bush Hill Park make sure they make their voice heard and show the BNP that their rhetoric of hate is not wanted in Enfield.
The Enfield election has been triggered by the resignation of Conservative Cllr Eleftherios Sawa who withdrew from his position last month due to personal circumstances. Nine candidates will vie to win the seat on Thursday 28th July in this two party controlled Authority. (Labour have 36 Cllrs and the Conservative have 26 Cllrs).
Simon Woolley, Director of Operation Black Vote said,
When decent people go out to vote, the BNP never win elections. The politics of hate depends on low turn outs to achieve their success. Black and minority ethnic communities along with White communities must unite to defeat the BNP at the ballot box. Together we ensure that Enfield is a BNP free zone.
