Neo Nazis Murderous Rampage
French police are in a desperate search for a known neo Nazi and former French soldier, after a murderous rampage that has left seven dead and one person critically ill with gun shot wounds to the head.
Serious questions will be asked by the French authorities about why the man hunt for the murderer of three French African soldiers was only stepped up after the death of three Jewish children and one of their fathers.
Today the Daily Mail shows a picture of the three neo Nazis draped in the swastika, one of whom is believed to be the prime suspect. France is now undertaking one of the biggest man hunts ever seen throughout the country.
Whilst a nation mourns the loss of innocent children and adults, there will be some who will be saying the recent political rhetoric during the French Presidential campaign incites those on the extreme margins to act in the most atrocious way.
The heir apparent to Jean-Marie Le Pen, his daughter Marie Le Pen, will follow in her father's footsteps arguing that France should be for the descendents of the “Gauls".
But it is not only the Far Right which has been whipping up ugly xenophobia. In the past few weeks Nicolas Sarkozy has lurched his Party wildly to the right, claiming there were
"too many immigrants in France"
He also made the claim that the French were being
“secretly forced to eat halal meat”.
Senior politicians cannot be responsible for crazed neo Nazis who seek to slaughter French Jewish children and French African soldiers, but they must take some responsibility for the climate that gives legitimacy to racial hatred.
