Saatchi & Saatchi - OBV shortlisted for international award
The international Digital Communication Awards is one of the biggest of its kind across Europe.
It honours outstanding achievements, professional campaigning and strategic thinking in online communications in a number of areas.
Operation Black Vote along with Saatchi and Saatchi find themselves yet again nominated for our General Election voter registration campaign, ‘Don’t take the colour out of Britain’ which had little or no budget to advertise yet managed to reach tens of millions and sparked a debate about how inclusive our democratic institutions are.
The judging will take place in Berlin in September where Europe’s top digital campaigns will compete for the prestigious prizes.
OBV’s Director Simon Woolley stated:
The motivation behind Saatchi’s creative campaign was to inspire and change hearts and minds that engagement makes our democratic institution that much more dynamic. To be internationally nominated for the campaign's success and creativity is a wonderful bonus."
The Saatchi-OBV campaign narrowly missed out in taking home advertising Oscar equivalent in Cannes, France recently.
