Sam Gyimah Conservative Candidate East Surrey

Sam was born in Buckinghamshire and later graduated from University of Oxford where he read Politics, Philosophy and Economics.  During his time as a student he was elected President of the Oxford Union. He then worked for Goldman Sachs as an investment banker. He is a former chair of the think tank Bow Group.

His is the Vice President of the National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy.

Sam was elected in 2010 and was Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Prime Minister.  In 2013 he was appointed a Government Whip.

Shas Sheenan, Liberal Democrat Candidate Wimbledon

Shas worked as a Head of Office to former MP, Susan Kramer. She is a trustee at Merton and Lambeth Citizen Advice Bureau, and supports Amnesty International and London Wildlife Trust.

She was previously a local councillor for Kew ward and became a Cabinet Member shortly after.  Prior to that Shas was an ‘A’ level Chemistry teacher and auxiliary Nurse at New Cross Hospital.

Amanjt Jhund, Labour Candidate East Dunbartonshire

Born in Glasgow in 1981 Amanjit is a fifth generation Scot and went on to  study at Edinburgh Medical school. He was the first British citizen to be accepted to study within Hepatolgy Department at Harvard Medical School.

As a Doctor Amanjit has worked in the NHS and Scotland, and now works as a Hospital transformation consultant.
