Sadiq Khan
Sadiq Khan was born to change his world. And in doing so he would change our world too. The son of a bus driver he studied hard to become one of those firebrand lawyers who readily took on the establishment when he saw a great injustice. He was one of the lawyers for the Stephen Lawrence campaign and has remained a friend of the family ever since.
Now he plies his trade in high political office, becoming the first directly elected Muslim to sit in her majesty’s Cabinet. An even brighter future awaits him: possible Mayor for London, senior Cabinet role, and one day soon as Prime Minister...

David Lammy
David Lammy is used to breaking records. After receiving a first at SOAS, he became the first black Briton to study at Harvard University when he won a place to study an LL.M. at Harvard Law School.
In 2000 he was elected onto thhe London Assembly, but after the sudden death of Bernie Grant he won the nomination to become the next MP for Tottenham. In Parliament he was the youngest MP, what many describe as the ‘Baby of the House’. He has held a number of Ministerial appointments, and is now one of the key contenders to become the first BME Mayor for London.
