A 42-year-old woman has been accused of racist abuse on a central line train on the London Underground.

Jacqueline Woodhouse has been charged with racially aggravated common assault and a racially aggravated public order offence.

She is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today after being arrested over the alleged incident, which took place on the evening of January 23.

A seven-minute video was posted online last month showing a woman addressing two Asian men on a packed carriage.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said

"I can confirm that Jacqueline Woodhouse, 42, of Romford has been charged with racially aggravated common assault and a racially aggravated public order offence. This is in relation to an incident on board a Central line Tube train on Monday 23 January. Woodhouse has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 8 February 2012."
