Kiran Bali MBE: leading light of the Asian community
Kiran Bali MBE is an inspirational person who has achieved so much in such a short space of time.
The 33-year-old was the youngest magistrate to sit on the Huddersfield Bench, a member of the Police Ethnic Minority liaison forum for West Yorkshire and also the youngest ambassador for World Peace.
She has also dedicated nearly two decades of her life volunteering for a number of great causes as well as being a leading representative of the Hindu community in Britain.
Bali was awarded an MBE her services to community relations in West Yorkshire in 2008 and has continued to dedicate her life to helping others. Her assiduous community work has seen her bring people of all faiths together to live peacefully side by side. Her achievements were recognised at the inaugural Asian Diaspora Achievers Awards where she won the Social Entrepreneur of the Year award.
The Asian Diaspora Achievers Awards launch took place in Manchester 12 of November and is recognised by the Asian Community for being credible and distinctive. A number of individuals were honoured at this prestigious occasion by their significant contributions and achievement with respect to economic, social and cultural development across the Asian community in UK.
The event was organised along with the Eid Milan celebrations in Manchester and was hosted by BBC journalist Talat Awan and Paveen Yaqub.
Prime Minister David Cameron and Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Conservative Party chairperson, congratulated the winners of the Awards.

The Asian Diaspora Achievers Awards are a true celebration of the Best of British – hard working people who are dedicated to their community, families and business.
The Lord Mayor of Manchester Harry Llyons inaugurated the event in the presence of 600 guests from the political, business and professional sectors. Kiran Mehta, former regional director of Lloyds Bank welcomed the guests and Anasudhin Azeez, managing director of New Asian Media Ltd, the publishers of Asian Lite, delivered vote of thanks.
