Diane Abbott major speech: The age of intolerance
One of Britain’s longest serving MPs, Diane Abbott, who has throughout her career campaigned against racism and discrimination in all its forms, will deliver a major speech about racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia at the School of African and Oriental Studies.
Her speech is taking place against the backdrop of a surge in support for far-right parties across Europe and even in Britain as the nakedly anti-immigrant UK Independence Party is experiencing a growth in popularity.
OBV is supporting this speech which takes place during Islamaphobia Awareness Month.
As a supporters of OBV, you have been afforded a limited number of seats to this prestigious event, but it’s still on a first-come first-served basis. So get there early.
This is an important and timely intervention which we hope will hold bigotry to account and halt the tide of hate rhetoric.
