Historic Race at work survey: Have your say
We have been overwhelmed by the support for our race at work survey. The positive reception from employers, employees, senior leaders. In particular we are encouraged by how BME communities and NGO’s such as OBV and Runnymede Trust have sought to support us and help ensure as many people engage as possible.
We are convinced that this survey is an opportunity to understand on an unprecedented scale how underlying cultures and processes may be contributing to only one in 16 ethnic minorities in senior leadership, despite a pool of one in eight ethnic minority people of working age in the UK.
We intend to turn the findings into recommendations for leaders and employers that will equip them to ensure their cultures and processes are equal, fair and inclusive of all ethnicities. The sponsors and supporters understood from the start the value this insight will bring to help them build on their own policies to drive change. The level of support we have received in such a short space of time from such a huge range of employers and individuals demonstrates a collective appetite for moving from debate to action.
We are really excited to see the results of what the reality of race at work is like for employees in workplaces across the UK.
There is still a few weeks from our cut off point but with your engagement we’ll reach our ambitious target of 10,000 participants that will ensure this survey becomes a game changer in how we tackle persistent race inequality.
