Dinesh Dhamja MEP (Liberal Democrat)
Dinesh Dhamija is the Liberal Democrat MEP for London. He was elected in the May 2019 European Parliament Elections. He sits on the Internal Markets and Consumer Protection Committee and the Delegation to India and is a substitute member of the Budgets Committee.
The son of an Indian diplomat, Dinesh was born in Australia he graduated from Fitzwilliam College of the University of Cambridge with a Master of Arts in law. He built and sold the travel booking giant Ebookers, after starting out selling tickets with his wife in a kiosk in Earl’s Court Road station in 1980. His businesses have employed 4000+ London employees since 1980. Dinesh joined the Liberal Democrats in 2014 and serves as deputy treasurer of the party, and vice-chair of the Federal Board, which oversees various aspects of party policy.
