Abrar Al-Habtari An ambitious and enthusiastic law graduate, Abrar Al-Habtari posseses profound knowledge and understanding of commercial law and educational policies.  She is the founder and director of Head of the Class - a private tuition centre – which she set up in 2017 to help disadvantaged young people in her local borough Hayes.
Adeola Akande Adeika wants to be part of the solution to develop the next generation of BAME women in leadership roles.  She believes BAME women are locked out of top leadership positions because they face the double bias as women and as minorities. She currently works as centre manager at US centre, LSE undertaking a wide range of duties including strategic development, organisational governance, philanthropic and income-generating activities and planning and change management.
Ahmed Mohamed A passionate, ambitious and hard-working student, Ahmed is studying Politics and Philosophy at the University of Hull.  He’s completed several internships and training programmes including shadowing at a solicitor's and participating in the Crown Court's Bar Mock Trial, which has given him an in-depth knowledge of the UK legal system.
Ana Margarian Ana presently works as a customer service supervisor on the London underground, having worked in various roles in the transport sector since 2011.   She is responsible for the smooth running of her station and managing operational incidents to minimise service disruption and to maximise service delivery to customers.  To create a colourful career, Ana has also served as a Special Constable for three years till 2018.
Alisha Muhmood Alisha is a Law and Politics graduate, with significant experience in local government, and will be combining her knowledge of the public sector with her legal expertise, as a trainee solicitor. She is passionate about improving diversity in the legal profession and local government. She organised her University’s first ‘Diversity at the Bar’ event, aimed at increasing accessibility of the Bar to those from non-traditional backgrounds, and has since attended provided mentorship for BAME students applying to law firms and Chambers.As an alumni of the National Graduate Development Programme (graduate scheme to train future leader’s and chief executives of local council’s) and as a Policy and Equalities Officer at Haringey Council, she has been responsible for researching best practice to inform cabinet decision making on areas of high importance for the council, presenting at local business and stakeholder forums, and reviewing Equality Impact Assessments to ensure that changes to council services are reflective of the diverse nature of the borough. She has also been an active member of the staff BAME network at Haringey and is a new member of the LGA’s BAME Network, with an aim to improve the number of BAME individuals in senior positions in local government.
Ashley Wright With a wealth of experience in finance and investment banking  spanning over a decade, Ashley has now settled down as a graduate analyst with the Bank of England, helping to provide rigorous and forward-looking ???,  daily client meetings with senior management to help guide recovery planning, and undertaking risk management and stress testing.  He received his BSc (Hons) Business Studies and Computer Science in 2016 at University of Warwick
Chiara Edwards A youth worker with 15 years’ experience of working with the most at-risk disengaged young people across London. She has been providing harm reduction initiatives as part of her work in the ‘team around the child’ and has run her own youth clubs and sports projects. Chiara have managed youth projects in the London Borough of Hounslow for the last 11 years. This has included planning and delivering holiday activities, community days, events, shows and running accredited courses.
Danielle Kow A trouble-shooter with an eye for creating strong processes and improving systems, Danielle has amassed a variety of management skills and analytical expertise over the course of her career. Danielle is a Safeguarding Coordinator for the Metropolitan Housing Trust – Care & Support, Risk & Quality Assurance Team. She is also a trustee of the Support for Survivors Charitable Incorporated Organisation that provides support to survivors of childhood sexual, physical, psychological, incest abuse and rape, operating in the Nottingham and Mansfield areas.
Jack McAteer A hard-working individual with high levels of motivation and work ethic, Jack always aims to complete his work to the best of his ability. Jack approaches each task with enthusiasm and maturity while able to exhibit confidence, diplomacy, professionalism and ambition while being challenged to complete a task to the highest quality. Jack currently leads the delivery of stakeholder engagement for Model Westminster’s events and programmes. Jack is the member secretary of the Liberal Democrat Campaign for Race Equality. He is a part of the executive team of The Patchwork Foundation charity.
Jonathan Jobi Jonathan Jobi is experienced in providing outstanding customer service within a wide range of work environments. Jonathan has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure meeting deadlines and targets.  Jonathan maintains a positive approach towards any task undertaken with a willingness to learn new skills. He has great leadership abilities and is always willing to go the extra mile. Jonathan possesses a competitive spirit that he utilises to overcome any challenge he faces. Jonathan makes it his mission to not only aim high and win, but to ensure he learns from setbacks grow his skills and expertise.
Kam Sarai With over 20 years’ experience within the criminal justice system environment, Kam has undertaken a vast variety of roles with differing responsibilities and priorities. Each have required core outcomes including demonstrating value for money, achieving desired and measurable outcomes whilst acting within national and local policies, and forming successful teams with clear objectives and focused leadership. Kam’s additional priorities have included effective liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the realisation of productive and robust systems including training, mentoring, information sharing, evaluation and strategic thought and delivery within an operational context. Kam’s proven people management skills, with the ability to manage performance and to motivate staff on an individual and team level has been central to the successes she has enjoyed.
Karishma Bhakar Fluent in English, Panjabi and Hindi, Karishma is a hard working, enthusiastic individual with good people skills. She has gained confidence and skills from her voluntary experience from RM Legal Solicitors in Southampton, teaching Panjabi and working as a Diversity & Inclusion volunteer at the Yellow Door charity.
Martha Anachury de Bruxelles Martha Anachury de Bruxelles joined the GMB while working as an auxiliary nurse in the late 1980s. Martha was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, and grew up in the beautiful Caribbean city of Cartagena de Indias. Simon and Martha and their two young children moved to Wiltshire. Shortly after the move their third child was born. Martha continued to work in childcare as well as in market research which gave her an insight into the West Country community and its social and economic make up. Martha rejoined the GMB while working as a teaching assistant at West Ashton School in Trowbridge. She is now a member of the executive committee of the Southern Region, is the Equality Officer and BAME officer for the GMB's Swindon branch and sits on the regional education committee of the GMB.  She is also a member of Chippenham constituency Labour Party where she is Women's officer and Union officer. She has affiliated the TUC to Justice for Colombia which campaigns against violence and the targeted killings of trades unionists in her home country.
Nathaniel Ogunniyi Nathaniel is currently studying a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Southampton. Nathaniel has a keen interest in politics he purses aside from his studies, he has interned at the Office of Richard Harrington MP learning about the responsibilities of an MP and how they are carried out. Nathaniel has previously interned at the Institute of Economic Affairs where he learned about a range of topics from the gender pay gap to the delusion of the spirit level. Nathaniel improved his teamwork skills as several activities involved group work, improved economic knowledge and enhanced his interest in certain areas such as public economics, development economics and international economics. He has also interned at the Nigerian High Commission.
Natasha Rattu Natasha Rattu has been part of Karma Nirvana since 2000 and has played a significant role in the strategic development of the charity. Natasha is a graduate from Leeds Law School and completed her Bar Finals at Nottingham Law School. Natasha was the 2009-2010 recipient of the national Crown Prosecution Service Anthony Walker Scholarship. Natasha has acted as a domestic abuse advocate and has a history of working for Local Community Safety Partnerships in both Derby and Newcastle upon Tyne. She has worked for both the Crown Prosecution Service and in private family practice supporting many victims of domestic abuse and honour based abuse to seek legal redress. She is now the Executive Director at Karma Nirvana leading the charity towards its strategic vision of ending honour based abuse in the UK.
Paul Baptise I am a graduate with a BSc Hons degree from the University of Bristol. I also have several years experience in IT/Admin/Retail and my hobbies include a persistent advancement of the skills developed through my degree and work experience. A self employed content creator and editor, Paul has created promotional videos for Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service and for Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service/Borough of Culture. Paul has also worked as an HR Administrative Assistant within the Home Office Civil Service. Paul’s main interests are creating content on YouTube where he gained employable editing skills and translating concepts into a visual format. Getting involved in new media projects and geo-politics with a sociological focus on the social functions that would generate a propensity for radical/extreme ideologies.
Qayum Mannan Qayum is a versatile individual with a successful record in developing leadership in others, deploying and consulting on campaigns and events whilst engaging communities, high-profile stakeholders and networks. Qayum has a variety of experience in advocacy, relationship building, public speaking, workshop facilitation and political & issue-based campaigning. Qayum is skilled in stakeholder & relationship management, project/programme management, campaign delivery, workshop facilitation, event planning and management, policy research & report writing. In his role as Policy & Partnerships Project Manager for UpRising Youth Leadership, Qayum established UpRising’s strategic relationships with various organisations, focussing on tackling underemployment & lack of progression routes for diverse and under-represented young people. Produced a framework and supporting tools to build and manage relationships with employers, businesses and community organisations.
Shereen Daniels Shereen is a Business Growth Consultant providing practical advice and guidance on how to grow a business and manage talent and resources effectively. She is adept at developing positive chemistry with multiple stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to align people, resources and organisational structure to drive profitability. She is articulate and confident, with a strong ability to empower teams by giving them the space and autonomy to deliver tangible results allowing for personal growth and development. Shereen is a panellist and public speaker at HR conferences topics have included: Brexit and Its Impact on Labour, Belonging at Work, Passion and Purpose and Why Companies Need to Start Caring, Is Inclusion and Diversity the Same Thing? Rising Costs and Minimum Wage; the Future for Talent in Retail and Hospitality.
Marie-Lyse Numuhoza

With over 15 years of Community organising, Marie-Lyse has built up a track record in grants management and projects development. She has successfully coordinated a variety of programmes such as Community Champions programmes, The Youth of Today programme, The V Inspired consortium and Live UnLtd. My experience is further enhanced by interests in campaigning especially on women/refugees rights and international development which led to her leadership skills to be recognised by organisations such as Women International League for Peace and Freedom, Women for Refugee Women, Women’s federation for World peace, the Mother’s union and Make Every Woman Count. Overall my tremendous skills have enabled me to implement methodologies of improving people’s lives and supporting them to drive change.
