Patricia Janet Scotland
Baroness Scotland of Asthal was educated at London University, where she earned an LLB.
Her career accomplishments include being a member of the Antigua Bar and within the House of Lords, she is the Parliamentary Secretary in the Lord Chancellor's Department.
Baroness Scotland is also a government spokesperson on Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Law Officers, and is a former member of the Commission for Racial Equality. She is an honorary fellow at Wolfson College, Cambridge and Cardiff University.
Currently, Baroness Scotland serves on the Communications Committee as well as the Privileges and Conduct Committee.
She is married to Richard Mawhinney and they have two sons.
