Dolar Popat
Lord Popat was raised to the peerage as Baron Popat of Harrow in the London Borough of Harrow in 2010. He is affiliated with the Conservative Party.
Lord Dolar Popat came to London from Ugandain 1971. After completing his studies he became an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants. He is also Chief Executive of TLC Group that specialises in healthcare and hospitality.
Lord Popat was made a Life Peer in May 2010 for the Conservative Party. He has been a member of the Conservative Party for over 30 years, and held office in several associations within the Party such as Anglo Asian Conservative Association, One Nation Forum, and the British Asian Conservative Link. He is also a member of the Diversity and Leadership in Britain in the 21st Century, a cross party Council.
He has served as Lord in Waiting for the HM Household (Whip).
