Usha Kumari Prashar
Baroness Prashar was educated at Wakefield Girls' High School, Leeds University and Glasgow University.
Her career accomplishments include being Director of the Runnymede Trust, Director of the National Council of Voluntary Organisations, and Chairman of the Parole Board of England and Wales.
Baroness Prashar is a member Chancellor of De Montfort University and a trustee of the Ethnic Minority Foundation. She has contributed to several publications on health and race relations.
Baroness Prashar currently serves on the EU Subcommittee F for Home Affairs, Health, and Education. She married Vijay Kumar Sharma in 1973.
