Pratap Chidamner Chitnis, ex-Peer

Lord Pratap Chitnis (1936-2013) was born in London. He attended Stonyhurst College, where he earned a BA, and the University of Kansas, where he earned an MA.

Lord Chitnis had an extensive career background which included Administration Assistant of the National Coal Board as well as Chief Executive Director of the Joseph Rowntree Social Service Trust.

He was a former member of the Community Relations Commission as well as the BBC Asian Programme Advice Committee.

Lord Chitnis is survivd by his wife Anne Brand, who he married in 1964.
