Syed Kamall, Dr., ex-MEP

Dr Syed Salah Kamall  is a member of the European Parliament for London for the Conservative Party.

Dr Kamall was born and brought up in London. He was educated at the Latymer School, Edmonton. He has a degree from the University of Liverpool, a Masters degree from the London School of Economics and a PhD from City University, London.

He started his career as a Business systems analyst for NatWest Bank Overseas Department (1989-1991). He moved on to become a Management Fellow, University of Bath School of Management (1994-1996), Management Research Fellow, Leeds University Business School (1996-1997), Associate Director/Consultant, Omega Partners (1997-2001), and a Consultant at SSK Consulting (2001-2005).

Since 2004 he has been Visiting Fellow at Leeds University Business School where he has lectured MBA students in international business and strategy, and supervised doctoral students' research.

Syed is a member on the Committee of Economic and Monetary Affairs.

He is married with two children.
