Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP (Labour)

Bell Ribeiro-Addy is the Labour MP for Streatham, she was elected in the December 2019 General Election receiving 17,690 votes equaling a majority of 31.3%.

Born and raised in Brixton Hill, Streatham, of Ghanaian descent and a trade unionist, Bell describes herself as a black working class woman, a Christian and a lifelong socialist who grew up in a Labour family.

Bell graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with Ethics & Philosophy of Science from the University of Bradford in 2006 before going onto complete a Master of Arts in Medical Law & Ethics at Queen Mary University of London, awarded in 2007, and later a Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School, awarded in 2015. 

Bell served as as chief of staff and political advisor to Diane Abbott and worked as a Lambeth school governor.
