Imran Ahmad-Khan MP (Conservative)
Imran Ahmad-Khan became the Conservative MP for Wakefield in the December 2019 General Election, winning the seat from incumbent Labour MP Mary Creagh, with 21,283 votes, or 47.3% of the vote.
Born in Wakefield, Khan went to a local private school, then to King's College London where he studied theology and war studies.
He went on to become a global strategic and communications expert, working across the UK, the USA, and Canada as well as Somalia, Afghanistan, Syria and Pakistan, founding four companies which worked with governments, before working as a Special Assistant to the United Nations and he had just taken up a role in M&C Saatchi a few months before the election was called.
