Ranil Jayawardena MP (Conservative)
Ranil Jayawardena has served as Conservative MP for North East Hampshire since 2015. Recently in the December 2019 General Election, Ranil received 35,280 votes, which equaled a 59.5% majority, retaining his seat.
Ranil earned his degree from the London School of Economics, and his commercial background in financial services gives him useful insight into economic issues.
Before he was elected to Parliament, Ranil served as a local Councillor from 2008 and was Deputy Leader of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, where he was responsible for the Council's strategy, and was Chairman of the Community Safety Partnership
