Lisa Nandy MP (Labour)

Lisa Nandy has served as Labour MP for Wigan since 2010. Recently in the December 2019 General Election, Lisa received 21,042 votes, which equalled a 46.7% majority, retaining her seat.

Lisa Eva Nandy was born in Manchester in 1979. She graduated from Manchester University with a degree in Politics and also obtained a Masters degree in Public Policy from the University of London. Ms Nandy has previously worked for a national children's charity - The Children's Society - for five years.

She is active in her community, as a school governor, a charity trustee, director of local theatre, and as a Labour councillor. She also worked as a researcher for Labour MP Neil Gerrard. She is also a member of UNITE, and is a strong supporter of trade unions.

Lisa has served as the Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, as a Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office, and as a Shadow Minister for Education.
